Ryan is a person in long-term recovery who is deeply committed to helping others overcome the challenges connected to behavioral health and addiction. He began his recovery journey on June 7, 2016, and since then has developed a stronger understanding of himself, his purpose, and the important role he plays within his community. Recovery has allowed Ryan to rebuild relationships with his family and friends and enjoy a life he once never thought was possible during his addiction.
From the beginning of his recovery, Ryan knew he wanted to work in the behavioral health field and give back to the same county where he was raised. He first began serving the recovery community as a weekend house manager at the same halfway house where he completed treatment. That experience helped guide him toward becoming a Peer Recovery Specialist.
Today, Ryan is a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist and a Registered Peer Supervisor. He currently serves as the Operations Supervisor for the Cecil County location, where he is dedicated to supporting individuals and families impacted by substance use and mental health challenges. Having lived in Cecil County his entire life, Ryan is passionate about creating positive change in the community that helped shape him.
