Coming Together for Change: Voices of Hope at the Harford County Symposium on Addiction & Recovery
We are deeply grateful to the Harford County Office of Drug Control Policy (ODCP) for inviting us to participate in this year’s Symposium on Addiction & Recovery. It was a true honor to be part of such an inspiring and impactful event focused on healing, hope, and community-driven solutions.
The symposium brought together advocates, professionals, and people with lived experience to share insights, collaborate on strategies, and continue pushing forward in the fight against addiction. Events like this remind us just how powerful collective action and shared purpose can be.
A Voice at the Table
We were especially proud to have our Executive Director, Jennifer Tuerke, featured on the speaker panel alongside other passionate and dedicated leaders in the recovery movement. Jennifer's message reflected the heart of our mission at Voices of Hope — advocating for individuals and families affected by substance use, reducing stigma, and expanding access to life-saving resources.
Her presence on the panel highlighted the importance of lifting lived experience and community voices in policy and program discussions. We are honored to have leadership that not only understands the work, but lives it every day.
