💜 Volunteer Spotlight: Nick Ramirez 💜
Today we want to recognize an incredible volunteer at our Cecil location, Nick Ramirez, and the impact he has made since joining the Voices of Hope family.
When Nick attended volunteer orientation in October 2025, he shared something that has stayed with us ever since: "I feel drawn to volunteer here."
On October 21, 2025, Nick officially began volunteering. Like many new volunteers, he was quiet and unsure of what to expect. When asked to help with our Mommy & Me Demolition event, he simply said, "I'm not a handyman, but I'm willing to learn and do whatever is needed." That response perfectly captured his heart for serving others.
At the end of his first day, Nick told us he didn't feel like he had joined an organization—he felt like he had become part of a family.
Since then, Nick has become a familiar face at Voices of Hope. From outreach and community cleanups to Creative Circle, holiday events, Toys for Tots, and helping at the front desk, he is always willing to lend a hand. He consistently asks, "How can I help?" and serves with kindness, compassion, and a positive attitude.
Nick has grown tremendously as a volunteer, becoming more confident, sharing ideas, mentoring new volunteers, and even exploring ways to help people in recovery care for their pets. His dream of becoming a social worker is evident in the compassion and dedication he shows every day.
Watching Nick grow from someone who simply wanted to help into someone who makes such a meaningful impact on our community has been a privilege. His willingness to learn, his caring heart, and his commitment to others make Voices of Hope stronger.
Thank you, Nick, for everything you do. We are grateful to have you as part of the Voices of Hope family.
💜 Volunteers like Nick remind us that hope grows through service, kindness, and simply showing up for others. 💜
