Evan Gill – Recovery House Program Supervisor
My journey with substance use began at an early age, leading to years of instability and time spent in and out of institutions. True change began when I made the decision to fully surrender and pursue recovery for myself. In 2022, I entered the Voices of Hope Recovery Housing program, where I not only found healing, but also discovered a deep passion for helping others find freedom from addiction—just as others helped me.
After spending a year and a half in the Voices of Hope program and becoming a proud alumni, I went on to spend another year and a half managing a recovery house program in Cecil County. These experiences deepened my understanding of recovery housing and solidified my commitment to this vital work.
Today, I serve as the Recovery House Program Supervisor at Voices of Hope, where I support individuals in early recovery by providing structure, accountability, and hope as they work to rebuild their lives. Since beginning my own recovery, I have restored relationships with family and friends, achieved financial stability, and earned my Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential.
I am passionate about using my lived experience and training to guide others on their recovery journeys, showing that with the right support and determination, lasting change is possible.
